NOW OFFERED AT THRIVE BY TOTAL PHYSIOTHERAPY —

Clinical Pilates at Total Physiotherapy is an individualised Pilates session designed by your Pilates-certified physiotherapist to address your specific needs.

The initial session (45 min) will involve an assessment to cover any past or current medical conditions, injuries or focus areas you wish to target. We then begin with an introduction to the breathing techniques used in Pilates and the foundational positions we work in. This allows us to determine whether there are any positions or movements that are not comfortable for you or may need modifications.

Each subsequent session (30 min) is then designed specifically for you or your group, to ensure it is delivered at an appropriate level, targeting the desired areas, and does not cause any discomfort or pain. Your instructor will describe exactly what you should be feeling during each movement and the intended target area. If you do not feel what the instructor describes, they will assist you in modifying the movement until you are able to achieve the desired effect from the exercise.

We currently offer the following sessions:

  • 1:1 (You + Instructor)

  • 2:1 (You + Friend + Instructor)

  • 3:1 (Group of 3 + Instructor)

  • 4:1 (Group of 4 + Instructor)
