OUR HEALTHY AGEING PROGRAM FOR OVER 50s

Prime Movers has quickly become one of our most popular classes. Participants recognise their increased confidence and physical improvements, but also a positive social experience - one of the big reasons they keep coming back! Building and maintaining strength is essential to ensure we maintain the quality of life and independence we desire as we get older. Prime Movers is a group-based exercise class for those aged 50 and above, and involves a combination of strength, balance and cardiovascular exercise.

We still have a few spots available in our current classes and will open more sessions as these fill. If you are interested or would like more information please get in touch - we would love you to experience our Prime Movers Class. 

What to expect:

PRIME MOVERS LEVEL 1

Tuesday: 10:30-11:15am / Thursday: 10:30-11:15am

  • Weight-bearing exercises

  • Light strength training

  • Balance and stability exercises

  • Pilates-style exercises, including use of the Reformer machines

  • Falls prevention

  • Stretching and flexibility

PRIME MOVERS LEVEL 2

Monday: 10:30-11:15am / Tuesday 09:30am-10:15am / Thursday: 09:30-10:15am / Friday: 09:30-10:15am

  • Weight-bearing exercises

  • Progressive strength training with tracked progress of weights

  • Higher level balance and stability exercises

  • Pilates-style exercises, including use of the Reformer machines

  • Falls prevention

  • Stretching and flexibility
