Thrive New Year Updates - Must Read!
/It has been great to see everyone getting back to classes to kick-off the New Year, and for those still away, we look forward to welcoming you back over the coming weeks.
We are keen to continue to improve the experience and results each member receives at Thrive, so please take some time to read these important announcements.
New Account Management Procedures
Visit our new Account Management Webpage for clear instructions on the most effective way to manage your Thrive bookings. Here is an overview of our new procedures:
Thrive Membership Pause: Memberships can be paused by providing written notice to reception@totalphysiosydney.com.au
Thrive Recurrent/Multiple Bookings: Easiest way to do this is by emailing reception@totalphysiosydney.com.au with clear details of class type, time and dates. You can book up to 8 weeks in advance and you will receive an email confirming your upcoming class schedule. Class instructors will no longer be able to take bookings requests to avoid booking errors.
Class Cancellations: Inform us of a class cancellation by SMS to 0483 967 756 or email reception@totalphysiosydney.com.au. Communications sent at least 12 hours prior to a class will be early cancelled without penalty. Cancellations within a 12 hour period will be a late cancel, resulting in a forfeited class credit in the case of Pass Packs or a $10 cancellation fee if you hold an Unlimited Membership.
Online Bookings: We have updated our instructions on making Online Bookings. This is best used for booking one off classes. Recurring bookings and cancellations are best performed by following points 2 and 3 above.
Membership Cancellations: If you need to cancel a membership for any reason, please provide 2 weeks written notice by email to reception@totalphysiosydney.com.au.
We require all members to have completed our ‘Exercise Screening and Liability Document’. This is to ensure we continue to provide a safe and supportive training environment for all of our members. You can access the form here and we will also provide a link to all members over the coming week. Once complete, simply Save the document and it will come back to us.
Visit our Account Management Webpage.
Testing and Assessments
We know the importance of our members knowing their current Physical Profile, where they can improve, and how we can support them to achieve their goals. We have several testing options available to help you take charge of your Physical health:
Strength Assessment: We introduced our Strength Assessments last year with our wonderful Personal Trainer and S&C Coach, Aideen Whitford. Involving standardised Strength tests in addition to some individualised testing based on your profile and goals, Aideen will be able to give you a clear picture of your progress and help tailor your training to ensure you hit your goals.
Osteoblast Assessments: For those in our Osteoblast Program, your Physio will be able to track your progress, report on your improvements and provide individualised suggestions to be incorporated into your class plans. We recommend 3-4 assessments a year, typically spaced 3-4 months apart. You can receive a Medicare rebate on these sessions if you have a Medicare Team Care Arrangement from your GP.
Prime Movers Assessments: For anyone participating in our Prime Movers classes. These assessments will outline how your Strength and Balance is progressing over time and give you feedback on how your results compare to what is expected for your age. It is good to assess your progress 2-3 times a year, these sessions can be booked in with our Physiotherapists. You can receive a Medicare rebate on these sessions if you have a Medicare Team Care Arrangement from your GP.
5 to Thrive Assessments (NEW): I have developed and will be implementing a new, comprehensive Physical Assessment from February 2025. This will assess and report on any injury or pain you may be experiencing (acute and/or chronic), your Physical Profile with a comparison to Age-Matched Norms and review your health and training goals to provide the support you need to be the best version of you. Initially, these sessions will be run by myself and there will be limited availability. If you would like to register your interest in one of these assessments, you can email me directly at stuart@totalphysiosydney.com.au.
If you would like to arrange a time for one of the above assessments, please call the Total Physio Clinic on (02)8322 3898 or email reception@totalphysiosydney.com.au.
Medicare Team Care Arrangements:
If you have a chronic condition (an injury or health condition persisting more than 6 months) you may be entitled to a Team Care Arrangement. Discuss this with your GP at your next visit and if eligible, you can access up to 5 Medicare rebateable Physio sessions in a calendar year for use on 1:1 Physio Treatment or Assessment sessions.
Hygiene and Client Comfort:
We want to keep Thrive a hygienic and comfortable gym space for all of our clients, we ask you to assist by:
Exercising in appropriate footwear (shoes or appropriate socks). Barefoot training is not permitted. Pilates Grip socks are available for purchase at the gym.
Assist us in keeping equipment clean by using antibacterial sprays to wipe down equipment after use and at the end of sessions.
Bring a gym towel and water bottle to sessions.
Do not attend classes when you are sick. Please inform us with as much notice as possible if this is the case so we can assist in finding an alternative class to make up for a missed class and to avoid a late cancellation fee.
Help us to Continue to build a ‘Thriving’ Community
It has been amazing to see and hear of the wonderful results that are being achieved in Thrive. We are on a mission to create a strong, resilient and healthy local community and would love for you to recommend us to your friends or family so they too can benefit. More members helps us to offer more classes, meaning more training options for you.
We look forward to working with you to achieve your health goals in 2025!
